Basketball U-15

On 3rd May 2010 our MS U-15 basketball team had a match with St. George's school. MS won with a stunning victory by 66 points in difference. The score was 74-8 . The match was great. MS team showed a drastic improvement in their way of playing and their teamwork. Even though St. George's team lost, they still played their best on that day. MS team did some beautiful shots and got so many rebounds which made them score more. The St. George team tried to make 3 point shots most of the time but, MS team blocked them well.

St. Georges team's captain gave his full support to them and not forgetting his advices to his team.













A lot of MS's team supporters came on that day and so the boys are even more excited on winning the game.

They had their match again last Monday against JIS unfortunately i was having my exam and I can't make a post on it but I'm sure they did Great and Congratulations to them for winning this game!

Music Band Performance

Today, performances includes:
Royal Brunei Army Force band (The RBAF)
Especially, the awesome Orient Express US Marine!

The band performs a diverse range of music from Pop to R&B, and country to Rock-and-Roll;
I Got A Feeling, Hot 'n' Cold, Girlfriend and also Malay songs including 'Kepompong'.

The purpose is actually to advertise the school band to the whole school especially the year 7 and year 8 students.
'By this we hope that people will be interested to join us'
-one of the band member.
As it was also said that music will be one of the new SPN21 curriculum.


There School Band students were privileged to attend the workshop. The workshop starts at 9:15AM , starting with some performances as an introduction. After that, the student were conducted one-to-one session with the members in where they get to learn more about music and their own instrument.

Thanks to the Ministry Of Education to create such an opportunity.

In the afternoon some student were also chosen to perform with them:
  • Ruby Chong sang 'Paramore - That's What You Get'.
  • And five other students; play a part of 'Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling'.
'It was such an honor to perform with you, to learn from you and to see you perform. Thanks Orient Express, I hope I'll get a chance to perform with you again'- from one of the student.

Badminton Interschool Competition

The badminton inter-school competition hosted by our college and takes place in PAP Masna Secondary School.

Our school representatives for the inter-school badminton competition conceded to the next round. That is for the under 15 single girl category and under 15 double boy category.

The representative for our college under 15 single girl category is Winnie Lim Huey Nee. She made in to the second round by winning a straight set game. Congratulations to her for proceeding to the next round!

While the under 15 double boy category is represented by Abd Hazim Amin & Md Fitri Ali for our college. They nearly lose their chance advancing to the next round when they lost in the first set to the opposing team. Later they knocked out their opponent in the next set and proceed to the next round. Congratulations to both of them!

Trip to Ministry of Finance

26th April 2010, Business department held a trip to Ministry Of Finance at Jalan Kebangsaan. The students involved are form 4s and year 9 who are taking Economic and the only 3 students who are taking Principles Of Account (POA) as their 10th subject. They went to the gallery and learned about money and its history.

After the gallery, a presentation was carried out by a representative of the Ministry Of Finance. They learned more about money. The presenter also rephrase that 'Money is just the same with a piece of tissue' But what makes it difference?
'Money has value' and it is their job to maintain the value of the money.

At the end of the presentation, as usual, there were a question and answer session. The students were so potent to ask that they exceed the time limit as it was already past 4PM! But the students did not miss to take group photos.

35th Sports Day

22nd April 2010, MS held the 35th Sports Day at Padang Sukan Belapan. The day started with aerobics presented by Year 7, choreographed by Cg Azlan and Cg Mizah. Well done to Year 7 as they only had roughly around 2 weeks to practice the moves. The March Pass was done by Year 7 and Year 8 representing their own house teams.

Panglima won the March Pass and Field Perfomance for the second time in a row this year. Congratulations to Pahlawan emerging as the overall winner again this year with the total of 37 medals won. Laksamana won 35 medals, 26 medals for Panglima and 20 medals for Hulubalang.

Everyone cheer for their houseteam despite the hot day. Teachers also contributed to their respective houses. Everyone had a nice day especially to the winning house and members.

Netball Inter-school Tournament Zone II

Winners of Group C and Group D

Netball Inter-school Tournament zone II was held in March at Multi-Purpose Hall, Berakas. The school sent 3 teams; Group B (U15), Group C (U18) and Group D (19-21 years old). Group C and Group D managed to secure their place in the first place. Unfortunately, Group B was eliminated in match against SM Rimba, in the semi-final with score 15-10.

Group C won the tournament for the under 18 group against SM Rimba in the final with score 25-24. It was a tight match as additional 10mins were added in the event of tie (17-17). Group D also won the tournament in much easier route as they only compete against two teams. Group D beat PTE Katok in the final. Credit goes to Dk Azimah Pg Anuar of PU2 as the best player of group D.
